It seems like just yesterday that I unexpectedly found out that I was expecting my fourth child. YES, my fourth! It was just as big a shock to me I assure you. After planning 3 children pretty well.... I was satisfied with waiting until a few more years for number 4. Little did I know... someone had other plans.
I had an IUD put in place that is suppose to be good for birth control up to 10 years. Its supposedly the best method for long term birth control. Or so i thought. Without me knowing, it came out of place and I ended up conceiving. I never had a regular cycle, so I just assumed It was a long cycle as usual. Then after double checking.. I saw that I should maybe get a test just for the heck of it. I was food shopping and had put some nice cold alcoholic beverages in the cart and figured id at least take it to just rule out pregnancy so I could enjoy a nice drink.STILL not really thinking I was pregnant. I get home.... and before I even put the groceries away, I take the test. Not even 10 seconds go by before I notice 2 pink lines! WHAT!! HOW THE...!!! WHAT!!!???? All I could do was cry. Dont get me wrong... I wanted another... but not yet. I was starting my business... I had 3 kids and one who JUST turned 1!! I live in a tiny 2 br. apt!! I couldve named 100 reasons why timing was wrong but one thing bothered me most.... "What would everyone think?" Seems like something I really shouldnt have given 2 'you-know-whats' about but I did. And I stood there and cried in the bathroom. My husband came in and knew what it meant... but all he kept saying was, "This is GOOD.. im kinda glad this happened." He made me gather myself for the kids and I was just dumbfounded the rest of the night. Thinking what to do. After talking with the GREATEST people I know in the world.... I came to the conclusion that this is truly a blessing, meant to be and MY life! And I embraced my pregnancy!

I announced it to the world via FACEBOOK, shared with family in friends and ironically enough.... NO ONE judged as I had expected. I had prepared my "Its my life" speech but didnt need to use it.
I went to all my appointments and sonograms, embracing each milestone as it came.

Fast forward to 2 weeks ago.
May 7th, 2010..... I welcomed Justin Daniel to the world!! Weighing 8lbs., 5oz., his smiling face came into the world!!!

Ok.. well.. maybe not exactly smiling just yet....lol.
But what amazed me beyond words.... was the support. People on facebook.... some that I didnt even know personally, wishing me well.... giving great advice and welcoming my child the same as those who DID know me. Posts all over my page from people and friends and family ALL OVER the country. It was so overwhelmingly beautiful! Nothing couldve been more perfect. I always said that I wanted to have a waiting room full of people for the birth of at least ONE of my children... and this was SO MUCH MORE! HUNDREDS of comments, cards, flowers and phone calls! And I wasnt even out of recovery yet! I cried about every 5 minutes I read something else. I had my trustee blackberry to keep me in tune with everyone. I may have had awful cell service with nearly one bar on my phone.. but I read EVERY SINGLE COMMENT!! It felt sooo good to be thought of and wished well by so many! I truly love each and every one of them! I never once felt alone. I thank ALL OF YOU for making the birth of my 'BEST little accident' a special one to remember!! =)
And today... my Justin is a sweet baby who sleeps, eats and never cries! He says hello to you all!!!

My new family!!! =)
